Visa requirements
E-visas will no longer be issued on arrival. The government of Kenya automated the new electronic visa processing system with effect from 1st January 2021. All visa applications are processed online on the Kenya e-visa portal. Passengers travelling to Kenya from countries that require visas to Kenya are required to obtain an e-visa before boarding.

Kenya has eliminated work permit fees for Tanzanian nationals to allow Tanzanians to work and invest in Kenya.
On 4th May 2021, in a meeting with Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu, president Uhuru Kenyatta announced the scrapping of work permit fees for Tanzania Nationals working or investing in Kenya.

Kenya has suspended flights to and from Somalia for three months with effect from 11th May to 9th August 2021. The government decided on suspension for undisclosed reasons.

Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i has extended the deadline for voiding the old passport by a further ten months until 31st December 2021.
