Following the 15th presidential address on 26th March 2021, the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, in consultation with the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority and Kenya Railways, has issued domestic and international tourists guidelines.
Domestic flights ceased from 29th March 2021, and no tourists will leave or enter Nairobi. However, international flights will not be affected. All arriving passengers must adhere to all protocols, including presenting a negative COVID -19 certificate acquired no more than 96 hours before arrival into the Country,
Restaurants and eateries in Nairobi, Machakos, Kajiado, Kiambu, and Nakuru are to provide takeaway services only. Eateries and restaurants in the other 42 counties shall continue as is, strictly adhering to Ministry of Health guidelines. Hotels can only serve alcohol to their in -house clients and not in public places.
